There's a wierd company that's been showing up in my india free stuff newsletters. Allschoolstuff.com. This website's selection is nominal, not that great but the reviews on mouthshut are abysmal.
They have been giving huge vouchers, 50 % off etc. This kind of promotion is not really sustainable. Their customer service is quite non-existent. From the reviews I've read, they have selective amnesia when shipping.
Even if I could place an order on the website using my credit card, I would be spending a lot of time and energy disputing the charge with my bank. Do you really want to buy from a website that has a bad selection, prices higher than MRP, offers too outlandish coupons, ships late, items are near expiry, customer service is bad and refunds are in the form of coupons(why would I want buy anything after such experiences)?
The breathtaking difference in customer happiness between this site and flipkart, snapdeal or amazon.in makes me wonder if these guys are hemorrhaging money? Why would anybody want to buy from this company in the first place? Just curious how they've got 600k+ likes on facebook for their page.. Edit- This company has shut down.
Been looking around for some information but couldn't find much. My father had attended 4 or 5 of these "shivirs" in the past 2 years (BTW, I am completely against this hocus focus). He received receipts that stated that the foundation is registered as a trust with the govt and donations are exempt under the 80g act.
While filing this year's tax returns, my auditor asked me to provide the PAN no. of this foundation. Ah, missed that. We have donated to Cry, Helpage etc and their receipts prominently state the PAN no. Everybody who donates to these organisations cannot be expected to call up the offices to ask for the PAN no. But Inner Strength Foundation's receipts have no PAN no. stated.
Why not state it on the receipt if they have one? If not, why mention their trust/foundation status on their receipts?
So my auditor calls up the Delhi "office" of Inner Strength Foundation and amazingly, there is only one landline no. and 4 mobile no.s. For such a prominent organization, only 5 contact no.s?
The landline no. doesn't work. The first mobile is always busy or not available. One of the other numbers do work but you'll be lucky to get a call back if they don't pick up.
They have ashrams in various places but no contact information is provided about them.

A few days later, this comes back to my mind and I wonder are these guys really genuine? Can they really do the work of the bank? Why will anybody lend you money on such terms?
So I registered with them and the next screen tells me to deposit Rs 1000 in their HDFC bank account.
I can't find a phone no., no address, no person, no profile, nothing. These are your fly-by-night operators.

There are a few ways to find out these fraudsters.
Give a police complaint and find out the name, address, etc through hdfc bank. They will give you the details if you go there with a police complaint letter.

The solution I found was to make a permanent swap file for the system. Go into system properties and click the Avanced System Settings. Display the Advanced tab. In the Performance box, click Settings. Display the Advanced tab. In the Virtual memory box, click Change. Unmark the option to automatically manage the paging file size. Mark the optio to for a Custom size. Enter an initial and maximum size. I put in 8142 and 12213. Click Set. (This is important...don't skip this step!) Then click OK. Re-boot your machine, and you should be good to go with PhotoShop Elements 2.
Once you've got photoshop running, to install the crack, (the one that works for me is N-gen cracking crew/ Gbillou/ 24-12-2002 patch file), copy the patch app to the photoshop folder and right click the application and select "run as administrator", the patch will run and photoshop will work fine now. If you run the patch app, it will do nothing because of the way win 7 in installed)
